All things are better with music. I can’t imagine my life without music. There’s always something playing while I’m at work, when I’m in my car and just about everywhere. My favorite time to listen to music is when I’m doing my morning workout. Researchers find that listening to music while exercising distracts athletes from their “bodily awareness” (pain).
Here are some great reasons why you should listen to your favorite upbeat songs while you’re exercising.
+ Puts you “in the mood”
Creating a rush that makes you want to do a little bit more!
Helps you focus better and blocks everything out. Music enhances concentration power. It helps you focus on the beat, on the song, instead of the pain and how many reps you’re doing.
+ Keeping a pace and mindset
An upbeat song that creates a sort of pace/tempo that’s full of energy will keep you sweating.
One of my favorite songs, that I’m sure you’re all familiar with is Happy by Pharrel Williams. This pop/funk song just makes you want to move! I’ve created a ONE-SONG WORKOUT to this song and believe me, working out has never been so much fun!
...and the workout!
